Scan doesn't start

This type of issue can have two main causes:

  • A previous CompuClever Antivirus Plus installation which was not completely removed or a faulty CompuClever Antivirus Plus installation.

    In this case, follow these steps:

    1. Remove CompuClever Antivirus Plus completely from the system:

      • In Windows XP:

        1. Click Start, go to Control Panel and double-click Add / Remove programs.

        2. Find CompuClever Antivirus Plus and select Remove.

        3. Click Remove in the window that appears and then select I want to reinstall it.

        4. Wait for the uninstall process to complete and then reboot your system.

      • In Windows Vista and Windows 7:

        1. Click Start, go to Control Panel and double-click Programs and Features.

        2. Find CompuClever Antivirus Plus and select Uninstall.

        3. Click Remove in the window that appears and then select I want to reinstall it.

        4. Wait for the uninstall process to complete and then reboot your system.

      • In Windows 8:

        1. From the Windows Start screen, locate Control Panel (for example, you can start typing "Control Panel" directly in the Start screen) and then click its icon.

        2. Click Uninstall a program or Programs and Features.

        3. Find CompuClever Antivirus Plus and select Uninstall.

        4. Click Remove in the window that appears and then select I want to reinstall it.

        5. Wait for the uninstall process to complete and then reboot your system.

    2. Reinstall your CompuClever Antivirus Plus product.

  • CompuClever Antivirus Plus is not the only security solution installed on your system.

    In this case, follow these steps:

    1. Remove the other security solution. For more information, please refer to “How do I remove other security solutions?”.

    2. Remove CompuClever Antivirus Plus completely from the system:

      • In Windows XP:

        1. Click Start, go to Control Panel and double-click Add / Remove programs.

        2. Find CompuClever Antivirus Plus and select Remove.

        3. Click Remove in the window that appears and then select I want to reinstall it.

        4. Wait for the uninstall process to complete and then reboot your system.

      • In Windows Vista and Windows 7:

        1. Click Start, go to Control Panel and double-click Programs and Features.

        2. Find CompuClever Antivirus Plus and select Uninstall.

        3. Click Remove in the window that appears and then select I want to reinstall it.

        4. Wait for the uninstall process to complete and then reboot your system.

      • In Windows 8:

        1. From the Windows Start screen, locate Control Panel (for example, you can start typing "Control Panel" directly in the Start screen) and then click its icon.

        2. Click Uninstall a program or Programs and Features.

        3. Find CompuClever Antivirus Plus and select Uninstall.

        4. Click Remove in the window that appears and then select I want to reinstall it.

        5. Wait for the uninstall process to complete and then reboot your system.

    3. Reinstall your CompuClever Antivirus Plus product.
