What to do when CompuClever Antivirus Plus detected a clean file as infected?

There may be cases when CompuClever Antivirus Plus mistakenly flags a legitimate file as being a threat (a false positive). To correct this error, add the file to the CompuClever Antivirus Plus Exclusions area:

  1. Turn off the CompuClever Antivirus Plus real-time antivirus protection:

    1. Open the CompuClever Antivirus Plus window.

    2. Access the Protection panel.

    3. Click the Antivirus module.

    4. In the Antivirus window, select the Shield tab.

    5. Click the switch to turn off On-access scanning.

A warning window will appear. You must confirm your choice by selecting from the menu how long you want the real-time protection to be disabled. You can disable real-time protection for 5, 15 or 30 minutes, for an hour, permanently or until the system restart.

  2. Display hidden objects in Windows. To find out how to do this, please refer to “How do I display hidden objects in Windows?”.

  3. Restore the file from the Quarantine area:

    1. Open the CompuClever Antivirus Plus window.

    2. Access the Protection panel.

    3. Click the Antivirus module.

    4. In the Antivirus window, select the Quarantine tab.

    5. Select the file and click Restore.

  4. Add the file to the Exclusions list. To find out how to do this, please refer to “How do I exclude a folder from being scanned?”.

  5. Turn on the CompuClever Antivirus Plus real-time antivirus protection.

  6. Contact our support representatives so that we may remove the detection signature. To find out how to do this, please refer to “Support and Contact Information”.
